Gråel was born in 2016 at founder Michael Achilleos’s kitchen table. Being an avid collector of designer footwear himself and having lived in Liverpool for years, Micheal noticed a growing demand for reliable, luxury shoe cleaning services.

These days Gråel is a far cry from a kitchen filled with trainers, with a shop in the Baltic, celebrity clients, a subscription service and partnerships with influential local businesses. Whilst the business has grown from strength to strength, we still stay true to our roots with a store in the Baltic, around the corner from Camp and Furnace where our original business card was designed back in 2016. 

As Gråel has grown, so has our presence in the community and we are increasingly committed to supporting the people of Liverpool. Through the Gråel Foundation we have created the Foot With Love project dedicated to community work through sustainable fashion practices. You can read more about Foot With Love here.
